The next highlight was the breakfast - 4 courses of amazing food: fruit salad, a lovely composition of vegetagles, eggs and a sweet surprise :-) it was delicious ! In the evening we had some drinks on the balcony - the owner Richard makes fantastic drinks - I fell in love with the Pina Colade...

But the best of the hostal was the crew:
Richard & Yoris made us feel welcome and comfortable, recomanded places and bars to go, organized a cardrive in a pink convertible and a taxi to the airport or just had a nice and funny chat with us. Richard showed us his house and the roof top bar (not opened - still in construction...I would really like to come back to see the bar!).

I would love to come back to this fantastic, amazing and lovely hostal.

The ladies and gentlemen who work... read more here are warm, kind and always willing to offer advice and guidance about Havana and what you can expect. We would definitely recommend Tony's walking tour as he has a wealth of knowledge, and he is keen to be asked questions. After years of restrictions, the property is a little tired in places, but it does retain all its old-world charm and if the owners could get the roof top bar re-vamped, there would be an ideal spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The only cautionary tale is the very steep stairs from the street up to either the first or second floor. If you have mobility issues this would probably no be the most ideal choice. The highlight is probably sitting on the balconies at breakfast watching the world go by and experiencing how the real people of Havana start their day. All the tourist spots are well within walking distance and we both felt totally safe walking through the streets.

We had a excellent breakfast every day, with coffee and juice, vegetables, bread, marmalade, cheese and eggs madein every way we wanted.
The stuff is very nice and helpful.
Most of the sightseeing places are reachable in walking distance. A lot of restaurants and bars are around, for covid they were all cclosed, but the stuff organised take away for us and made delicious cocktails at the hotel bar.
We will get back to this place when covid is over and enjoy real Habana life there. We recommend this place for having a great time in Havanna! More
