The room had it's unique charm - again viewing Havana street scene from your balcony in the room. The furnishings made the stay feel special.
We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast served. Four courses, delicious, and presented by Rolando with flair. Juana was also there cooking up the deliciousness and with a sweet smile. We even got dancing lessons and enjoyed a special moment with Rolanda and Juana upon our departure.
Special thanks to Aramis who welcomed us with a cheerful disposition.
We could not recommend a better place to stay in Havana Viejo. Amazing stay.

Breakfast was plentiful with lots of fresh coffee. The staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. They organised a classic car tour for us which was excellent and taxis to restaurants and the airport.   We stayed at the Hostal Balcones Muralla for 4 nights as a couple and it was our first time in Cuba. Based in old Havana it was the perfect base... read more for going out to explore the city. The staff were very friendly and so helpful, assisting in booking one classic car tour we did, arranging airport pick up as well as giving recommendations for local restaurants and where we could find essentials like SIM cards. They were always around 24/7 to answer our questions or make us a cocktail on the balcony. The room was as described with air-con & a lovely balcony. Unfortunately there was noise from the street in the evenings, but that tended to die down before midnight and we understood it was nothing the hotel could control.
Would recommend to anyone travelling or planning a holiday in Havana to get a real taste of Cuban life. Would happily return and start there again.
