We won't repeat what others have said about the fabulous staff, welcoming attitude and nice breakfasts as it's all true. As a helpful comment for possibly older travellers there are steep stairs up to the reception and rooms, and the street outside can be noisy at night so earplugs might come in handy. Overall this is a place to experience Havana in the raw. It's safe and so much more authentic than the sterile city centre hotels. PS: They serve cocktails in teapots with a straw!

Breakfast was unbelievable!!! The staff was really kind and helpful. They helped us book restaurant/ private tour reservations, and gave us a ton of great local recommendations. The rooftop bar is such a cool space. We ended most of our nights up there with a fantastic cocktail made by the staff. The breakfast each morning was amazing as well. We already miss our friends at Hostal Balcones Muralla and can’t wait to come back!!! A true five star experience More

The breakfasts here were probably the best thing I ate all holiday and filled me up so much sometimes I didn't need lunch, thank you Master Chef Yamiley!
