The bar is fantastic, full of antiques and looking out onto Muralla and Aguacate. The breakfasts were the best food I had in Cuba. Every day you get bread, jam, coffee, fresh juice, an always beautiful vegetable dish, eggs cooked however you want, and even dessert! What makes this place so good is the owners and the staff who really care about what they do. Before I left for Cuba I was having WhatsApp chats with the owner who was advising me on how money works in Cuba (which is unique), getting to the hotel from the airport (they can arrange a taxi), and things I might want to do while I was there. The staff were all great and were very helpful in arranging transport for me around the country, advising on where to go and when, and even talking with me about the incredible history of Cuba and Havana. I was there over Xmas and New Year and on NYE they cooked a fantastic evening meal which we ate on the rooftop. The hostel is super central. You can easily get to anywhere in the old town by foot. It has been a wonderfully unique experience that I can only recommend to everyone staying in Havana – you will get an authentic experience with colonial charm in a place that just perfectly combines the warm hospitality of a family and the luxury of a small boutique hotel. The breakfast is absolutely breathtaking (Be ready for a yummy surprise!), which you can enjoy peacefully while chilling on one of the elegantly decorated balconies and feeling the good vibes of the streets below you in the heart of Old Havana :-)

The sitting area and bar are on the second floor, rooms on the second and third... read more floors with a rooftop terrace overlooking everything. We had breakfast included in our stay each morning with the best coffee we had our entire stay and the most delicious Guava jam.

Each room has it's own balcony with chairs, washroom and new ac unit. We felt safe as they only opened the main door for guests.

For us, it was the staff who made this our favourite stop in Havana. Frank and Tony were so friendly and knowledgeable, would love to come back just to chat.
